12h Shamers exceeding 65100 feet in length could not legally, and by right, come alongside of their wharf (Petitioners water frontage being only 100 feet) without the permission of the Land Owner on the other side of the said Marine Lot 184, and no such permission has been obtained by the said Petitioners. The wharf has not been used by steamers for discharging cargoes since the Reclamation works were commenced.
Tarmiz in 1884 has given reason and evidence that the Petitioners had neither passenger nor cargo ship from their godowns. Said godowns being mostly for the storage of "Bonded Woods". The inner, or shore end, of the wharf which has not been completed...
